A DOSE OF LEVITY: SPOTLIGHT ON TWINGIRLPEEKS’ ARIANNA PAPALEXOPOULOS

We can’t get enough of Arianna Papalexopoulos and her comedic sketches and raw, relatable content. She is a true performer and one-of-a-kind actor that only but deserves the spotlight to showcase her undeniable creativity and witty sense of humor.

The San Francisco native of Greek and Italian descent made her move to Los Angeles where she graduated from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television. After years of studying at various prestigious acting academies she broke into stand-up comedy taking the mic at venues like Flappers Comedy and The Comedy Store and subsequently performing at SF Sketchfest with San Francisco’s cast, Killing My Lobster. Her dynamic background and talent has also created a real buzz in the independent film industry where she has co-produced short films debuted at festivals like Napa Valley Film Festival and San Francisco Greek Film Festival. Papalexopoulos has grown a career predominately in comedy where she now continues to write, act, and produce sketches for her channel, TwinGirlPeeks.

“I started TwinGirlPeeks after college graduation with Megan Timpane, a fellow San Francisco native who lives on the opposite side of Twin Peaks [San Francisco]; hence the name TwinGirlPeeks,” says Papalexopoulos of the social media account that has gained a cult fan base over the years. 

TwinGirlPeeks has caught our attention for its empathetic and ironic content that portrays real-life scenarios with sarcastic undertones.  Papalexopoulos’ style is situational comedy with entertaining personalities which at times highlight her as dual characters — and we love her for it. Her DIGS series is based on underhanded “digs” and microaggressions that we all experience and can definitely relate to. Her ability to jump into any character and execute each so flawlessly is what her audience expects and comes back for every time.

Our personal favorite: Sindella. The LA botox-loving, desperate housewife who roams the streets of Tinseltown in hopes of finding her next husband. Papalexopoulos sporadically features Sindella in sketches on TwinGirlPeeks that place her in haphazard situations where she acts inappropriately and spews out outlandish comments. Yet, fans are charmed with the quirky voice and unexpected cadence that she always brings to the table.

Papalexopoulos currently resides in West Hollywood, California where she is receiving her Master’s Degree from USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism in Digital Media.
